"Educate, Empower and Enable every individual who wants to  make a difference in the life of an underprivileged child" 

The Bay Area Vibha-Youth Chapter strives to provide a platform for Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers to make a positive impact on society, while also building their teamwork, marketing, and planning skills. Since its creation in 2010, this youth chapter has been run by youth leaders under the guidance and knowledge of their parents and other Vibha mentors. These young but active volunteers of Vibha plan various fundraising events and awareness booths to raise money and spread awareness to society about the underprivileged children across the world and the projects there to help them.

Review

2019-2020 has been a successful time for the Youth Chapter. We held multiple seasonal bake sales, and have been working with other organizations to spread awareness regarding multiple world issues. We held seminars about climate change and wildlife conservation, in which Silicon Valley climate action activists and the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley spoke about current issues affecting our planet and ways to take action.

We have recently organized a donation drive for the Me2U foundation, which has helped underprivileged children in many countries, and we are planning a future event to raise funds for the Mountain Children Foundation, a nonprofit which helps the many poor kids who live at the foothills of the Himalayas. 

Our biggest event of 2020 thus far has been our Story Writing Competition. This is the first of our online events, which will be continuing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
