The Bay Area Youth Chapter
"Educate, empower and enable every individual who wants to make a difference in the life of an underprivileged child"
The Bay Area Vibha-Youth Chapter had been setup with the intention of providing a platform for Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers to make a positive impact on society by trying to make people more AWARE. Since its creation in 2010, this youth chapter has been ran by youth leaders under the guidance and knowledge of their parents and other Vibha mentors. These young but active volunteers of Vibha plan various fundraising events and awareness booths to raise money and spread awareness to society about the underpriveleged children accross the world and the projects there to help them.
2016 saw a great start for the Vibha Youth Chapter. Our first two events, the spelling bee and the Bay Area Quiz Contest, were both great hits with over 90 participants in each event. In addition, our art competition in May was very successful. Special thanks to everyone who attended and volunteered at these three event. We also spred awareness through a booksale in Almedan Valley Safeway, and three booths in Willow Glen Street Faire, Earth Day Celebration, and the Monta Vista Dance Competition.
Vibha Youth Chapter saw a great rise in revenue and the number of volunteers in the 2016 January to June timeframe. We hope that we keep seeing the same raise in interest, awareness, and desire to help in the coming latter part of the year.
